A lightweight bout between unbeaten lightweights Bill Cooper (2-0 MMA, 1-0 SF) and Matt Ricehouse (5-0 MMA, 3-0 SF), as well as a light-heavyweight bout between Antwain Britt (11-5 MMA, 1-2 SF) and Lumumba Sayers (4-2 MMA, 0-1 SF), have been added to November's Strikeforce Challengers 20 event.
Strikeforce officials and the fighters' representatives recently announced the bookings.
Strikeforce Challengers 20 takes place Nov. 18 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Strikeforce Challengers 20's main card airs on Showtime, though it's not clear if the bouts will be part of the broadcast.
Cooper looks to build off a successful promotional debut at Strikeforce Challengers 17, where he choked out Maka Watson. Earlier in the year, the Californian made his pro debut and scored a submission victory at a Gladiator Challenge event. Cooper, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, is a world renowned grappler who's won many top tournaments, including the 2007 Pan-American Championship.
Ricehouse recently made some waves with a Strikeforce Challengers 16 decision victory over notable Ryan Couture. The well-rounded Missouri-based fighter moved his Strikeforce record to 3-0 with the victory, which followed earlier wins over Greg Wilson and Tom Aaron under the promotion's banner.
Britt, meanwhile, looks to avoid a third consecutive defeat in Strikeforce. After making his promotional debut with a TKO of K-1 veteran Scott Lighty, "The Ultimate Fighter 8" cast member (who was replaced because of a broken hand) since has suffered a KO loss to former champ Rafael Cavalcante and a decision defeat to fast-rising Ovince St. Preux.
His opponent, Sayers, made his promotional debut back in July following a 4-1 pro record, which included four first-round submission victories (three in 76 seconds or fewer). But NCAA Division II All-American wrestler Derek Brunson then choked out the Colorado-based fighter at "Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Henderson."
