Since 1993 K1 has developed a tournament style competition inviting the best fighters from all corners of the world to determine the worlds number one fighter.
It is with great honour to announce that Canberra, Australia is set to host the K1 Oceania 8 man tournament where the winner after being victorious in 3 fights in 1 night will be crowned the Oceania Champion and will get the opportunity to represent Oceania region in the world Final 16 in Seoul, Korea with the winner of that going through to the Final 8 in Japan later in the year.
This the first time it has been in Australia for 7 years.
Tournament fighters include - Canberra's own ISKA world champion Ben Edwards, Poland's 2009 athlete of the year, WMC and K1 veteran Paul Slowinski, K1 Las Vegas Champion Vicious Doug Viney.
Current NZ Champion Tafa Misapati has been moved to undercard for some unknown reason and his opponent is unknown..
Along with the 8 man tournament there will be 4 super fights on the main card, plus undercard fights.
