years ago, prob 12 - 13 years ago i was watching some sort of MMA on Eurosport in the UK, it wasn't in the an octagon, it was in a boxing/wrestling ring
no idea what it was called, if anyone can refresh my memory of what it was called, that would be great

I believe you may be remembering Total Combat it was in and Octagon with Ropes. Hope this helps

Ok so.. Older MMA with bald guy from Netherlands = Bas Rutten, so you are probably thinking about Pancrase or PRIDE as previously suggested..

The rules you mention sounds like Japanese MMA rules. Do you have any more details to give us regarding the show/program?

i remember something like that quite a few years ago on eurosport,was definately european mma.
i cant remember much about it though, just what has already been said.

i remember watching one a few years back that was in an octogon shape but it had no cage or rings round it, instead the sides was rised slightly giving the edges a slant.
