I hate Frank Trigg, think he's a complete tosser. Hope I never have to watch him commentate or fight again

Hey I watched Sengoku and I thought Frank trigg did a great job commentating. Was it only me or did you also like him better behind the mic then in the cage? |

I like Frank Trigg in general. Thought they gave him a tough comeback facing first a former number 1 contender who had a title shot in Koscheck, then the former welterweight champ Serra, was kinda doomed from the get go. Thought they would give him a bit of a easier road , i kinda felt they feed Gilvert Yvel to the dogs his first fight also should of gave him someone to KO first build up his hype cuz he is major a force to be reckoned with. |

Yvel indeed did get a tough start, but I recall Trigg saying he wanted hard fights to see if he really had another run in the UFC/at the title in him, so he got what he wanted. Serra and Koscheck are tough guys, but realistically they are upper-level gatekeepers - IMHO, the best Trigg could have achieved also. I thought he did well at the commentary, but then wasn't he a Pride commentator at times, or something? Some promotion, for sure. Plus his radio work and stuff, so he's well used to describing MMA for the media. |

I haven't seen the event yet so I can't comment on his commentating, but I agree that the UFC threw him to the wolves, but he did invite it. |

I think he did a better job than Guy Mezger, for sure. Definately knows what he's looking at, and is good at describing and explaining for the audeince. Guy Mezger, though not bad, tends to stutter and "Uhm" and "Aaah" a bit, which after a while just get's a bit annoying. Now, if HD net could do the same kind of move for K-1, I'd be so happy! |

During Dream 13 it sounded like he had a mild speech impediment. He said some stupid things too, I think Serra rattled his brain a bit. |
