Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz has been pulled from tonight's card

" Tonight's featherweight rematch between Charles Oliveira and Nik Lentz has been scrapped from the UFC Fight Night event after Oliveira was not cleared by doctors to compete.
Oliveira, who was getting over a viral infection he contracted in Brazil, had a relapse earlier this week and missed weight for the bout Thursday, coming in at 150 pounds. He did not attempt to weigh in again. This morning, the Brazilian fell ill, and after being seen by a doctor he was pulled from the bout."


Man, how am I supposed to win another belt with all those last second changes??

exactly what the fucking fuck.....last card was cancelled so that it was fair for the people that had already made their picks before the cacelations ...well what about this time? ive made my picks already and now its going to count against me ? something has to change in the ability to cancel fights with in the comp script! if your going to try and make it fair to everyone by cancelling last weeks card like you did what are you going to do about this cancelled fight to make it fair as well?

Wow, becoming a little too competitive here. We sometimes forget that it's all supposed to be for fun. A lot of effort is voluntarily given to post the competitions and results by the site administrators. Lets give them a break.

As for being fair, perhaps this is a possible solution, if it's not too difficult for the tabulation of points, or if its even possible to program.
The 3 options should not include Act of God / Fight Cancelled. (No contest is counted as a point only if the fight actually starts ie eye poke or groin shot etc) If a fight doesn't even start, it should be taken out of the total number of fights for the night.
This should fix this present issue that we are having with 'fairness'.
So for tonight's event for example, since the Lentz/Oliveira fight is cancelled, and since some have already put in their picks, the maximum number of points a person can get is 9 instead of 10.

What say you all?

AT THE MOMENT... THE COMP WILL GO AHEAD!
GET YOUR PICKS IN BEFORE THE TIMER RUNS OUT BECAUSE THE COMP WILL STILL CLOSE ON TIME...
we have one fight drop off all the time and the comp goes ahead so this one will too...
but we can always cancel it at anytime by just never entering the results...

i wish i could tell you the system had more options to do the things you guys are suggesting...
unfortunately its all automated scripting or something and waaaaaaay beyond my understanding...
if you guys saw how it all worked you would understand why we cant really do anything to make it better...
short of finding a whole other completely new system...
