congrats all!

I hate to be one of "those guys", but i'm also surprised to not see my name in the list especially because I had enough correct picks for some GB (who doesn't at Strikeforce, right? ). I'm certain I participated, and about as sure as I can reasonably be I hit "submit" rather than "save competition" - not in the least because there is so much confusion about it at every competition so I pay extra attention to it!

Could it really not be something else? I tend to leave my competition window open for a while before hitting submit, so could it have to do with an expired session or similar?

I will have to wait and see what Subvertbeats says about it as he made the competition script. Meanwhile, one way of knowing should be to try to re-enter the competition after submitting. If you get a message that says that you already entered tha competition you should be safe. Personally I entered ever competition last year with a few exceptions and it was always counted, but then I usually entered my picks pretty fast so maybe you are right about the session thing. Ill ask Subs to check it out.

Ive double checked the code, and tested extensively for a few days now, and can only reproduce 'missing results' when clicking save instead of submit.

The best thing to do is to try and enter the comp again after you make your submissions.
Then if you did successfully enter the first time, you'll get a message saying you can only enter once. (You can take a screenshot of that if you're worried)

Perhaps we could/should remove the save functionality?

just a little insight...
ive left a competition form open for hours and then submitted my picks no problem...
ive also left them open for days and been able to submit picks alot of the times...
but sometimes it will log you out... so you have to login again... go back to the page... then do the picks...
but ive never had any problems with it... so i doubt its because you left the form open too long...
even if your session DID expire... when you hit submit it would simply ask you to log in again...

dent... i think get rid of the save button...
but thats just my opinion... you gotta do what the majority wants...
save and submit can mean the same thing to someone whos english isnt too good... like me...

Nothing to do with your level of English, mine is fantastic but I STILL have to double-check and think about it every time I enter a competition!
"Submit" and "Save" are used almost interchangeably on so many sites across the web that having them together is never going to be clear cut.
My two cents would definitely be remove the "Save" button... or is it "Submit"? No, it's "Save"... I think

In retrospect, simplest option is just change text on "Save" button to "Save for later" or "Save as draft". Job done.
