Post subject: | iTorrent and list of supported clients |
Hello there ! I'm trying to use iTorrent, an open-source iOS torrent client app, but the downloads never seem to be starting. Apparently, I'm not the only one having troubles to get anything working with a private tracker and a GitHub issue was filled about this. In the thread of this GitHub issue, someone mentions that private trackers might block/are not supporting some clients. I'm wondering if this could be the core issue ? Do you know if iTorrent is blocked/supported ? Is there a list of supported clients somewhere ? Sorry if this was already answered somewhere in the forum, I searched for it but didn't find anything that specific. iTorrent is in beta so I'm not excluding a bug, but it's worth mentioning it works fine with torrents from a public tracker. Thanks in advance |

As far as I know its not blocked, at least not specifically as iTorrent. Supported clients are: Windows: qbittorrent, Deluge, and older versions of BitTorrent or uTorrent (newer has too much adware but works as well) MAC (iOS): Transmission, Folx Linux: rtorrent, libtorrent Android: tTorrent, uTorrent Other clients and apps like Tixati, Azureus and BitComet etc. are working as well, but those are the most commonly used. It might be a bug on their side because nothing on our side should prevent a proper torrent client from working. |
