I know this is an old thread but I am running into the exact same issue.
*
Failed to load the torrent
Error: Unexpected end of file in bencoded string
*
I have the uid and pass strings and have added them in 'manage cookies'
I have tried with and without the "https://mma-torrents.com/rssdl.php:COOKIE:uid=xxxxx;pass=xxxxx"
Hoping there is a solution. Qbittorrent has been good to me up until this point.

If nothing works try this in Qbittorrent Web UI:
You should add the cookies under the qBittorrent.conf file
Add it like this:
[Network]
Cookies="uid=xxx; expires=Tue, 13-Feb-2125 14:59:41 GMT; domain=mma-torrents.com; path=/", "pass=xxx; expires=Tue, 13-Feb-2125 15:01:03 GMT; domain=mma-torrents.com; path=/"
