hi guys!!! as you noticed from the title, i m new member. in fact, i read everything to deeply understand the rules and the "tuto,guide" section, but i still didn't understand 100% overall. i m new member and i dont want to get banned because my ratio is low so:here is some questions that i would like to answer:

-what's better to increase some ratio: downloading then uploading or uploading first then downloading??will one of them help me to download or upload fast??

-i see a topic that says: there is leechers which is good for new members to increase the ratio something like "upload counts only" << i didn't understand and i dont know where leechers loacated in the website.

-after downloading a file in torrent, should i leave to "seed"??if so, i should not close the torrent???

-if we download a file, we should not move it in other specific folder because it wouldn't seed. am i wrong??

-lets say i download a file"test1" that has 1Go. you say that we should not delete in order to seed for other people. which one we should not the torrent file"test1" that has 64 ko or the real file that has 1Gb???

-what's .nfo???when do we use it and who will need to use it??

-if i shut down my computer and restart it 10 hours after(other words: torrent closed or disconnected and re connect), will this makes me troubling in terms of seeding a file or download it????

-i wanna upload(in order to increase my ratio) some bjj instructional dvdfor example (Roy Dean's BJJ Blue Belt Requirements DVD), but i see that it is already posted in mma-torrents and not the same size(mine 1.36 Go, in mma-torrents 1.37 Go), any solution for those???i m sure that we dont post duplicate topic(same dvd).

-which one has higher chance to increase his ratio: the one who has differents files(file1:50mo,file2:50mo,file3:50mo) in total:150 mo, or the one who has one file with 150 mo.

-if i have a dvd that is not complete(means i deleted some other videos that were already include in dvd), can i seed it???

-if i dont upload neither download for a certain time, the ratio change???the ratio is stable or variable??if so, does it goes down or up(assuming i have already some files seeding in torrent).

You have 5 basic ways of increasing your ratio:


1. to become VIP and earn free GB's (the best way to get started).

2. Make uploads of original, non uploaded material and earn the upload credit you get from that.

3. Get a lot of Freeleech torrents and seed them for a long time. You can seed them for as long as you like, years if you like, no problems!

4. Participate in competitions in the forum, and hopefully win GB's

5. And of course you can get a seedbox http://dentoo.info/shop and that way for a small expense get a great ratio boost on every new torrent.


You can also do work in the forum or site in other way, helping out the community and earn the admins respect and that way get some extra credit and maybe a profile upgrade but thats a long term project

thank you guys! now i understood everything, exept one which is:

i downloaded "Roy Dean Blue Belt Requirements" from other private site, and i want to seed it to mma-torrents and this file i put it in E: while my torrent download folder is located in C:. so the question is: in order to seed it, should move first the file "Roy Dean Blue Belt Requirements" which is located in E: to "C:\Documents and Settings\Mes documents\Downloads" and start seeding or we can keep it in his place (in E:) and seed it directly to mma-torrents???

thanks guys! can you plz explain me this problem i got it, after i download some files(some from mma-torrents, some i have it already), i see that my files are in "seeding situation", but the problem is that i dont see any of them seeding means uploading to other people. as you can see in the picture, they are all inactifs which is really strange because they are popular files. is it normal??

The inactive status means that you are not downloading the file or uploading the file. As your ? in the pic shows.

However you are seeding the file which means you are offering it to others to download from you. Once someone downloads the file it will become active because you will be uploading something..
Compare seeding a file with an item in a store. The store has an item on offer but only if someone buys it there will be activity, if no one ever buys it it will not give the store owner a profit.
