According to a forum post on sherdog Fedor neglected to fight Belfort after a sherdog poll showed fans where not interested

Josh Barnett is the only murderer here. People wanted a true Heavyweight, particularly in Brett Rogers, and Affliction couldn't come through; mainly because of the legality, as Showtime wanted a Heavyweight, and Affliction couldn't change PPV advertisements.
Besides, Jorge Santiago would have been possibly screwed out of the deal, had Belfort gotten the fight.

They leaked TUF season results a few years back too, Dana then banned all media from TUF

I never liked that fat sherdog dude, his goal seems to be to cram the site with ads. Guess he is pretty rich by now.
