Most of this article I can honestly say, yes Dana you are right. Fedor was great but has not shown it the last couple of years. However he ends up with the stupidity of what he accuses the media of, hyping fights from the past. He mentions that Fedor was great and the media kept him great (after 2005) and what does he end with in this article? Chuck beat Overeem in Light Heavyweight.
Excuse me Dana, yes he was beaten by Chuck and many others in Pride. However this fight was in 2003 as far as I saw. Overeem had 7-7 in Pride. He did however beat some big names acting in the UFC now as well. I believe he has beaten Vitor Belfort in those days.
But that was the past, that was not the Overeem you see now.
I think this comment is rather accurate.
So in my opinion, once again Dana shows two faces. I like the dude in some way but he pisses me off when he starts talking about other promotions. Especially StrikeForce. Somehow I get the feeling that he was so eager in signing Fedor and did whatever he could but he just could not succeed and that gave him a trauma bigger than Fedor. So now every time StrikeForce or a fighter of SF is named in an interview with him, jealousy and traumatic experiences make him say a lot of crap
