The winner of this tournament will be eligible to participate in the Final Tournament, a one-day tournament of eight open weight fighter-class fighters at the K-1 WORLD GP 2024 in Tokyo to be held on Saturday, December 14 at Yoyogi Daiichi Gymnasium in Tokyo. The Eastern Europe Open Weight Qualifier Tournament for the K-1 Bosnia Tournament, held on June 30, was a series of upsets, with Milos Cvečkanin of Serbia winning and securing his place in Tokyo. This is the first time since 2008 that a K-1 certified tournament has been held in Italy, but the last time was in 2003, so this is the first time in 21 years that it has been held. Former K-1 MAX champion Giorgio Petrosyan, an Armenian immigrant with Italian nationality, was a star fighter from the country, and made his name known around the world. |
