The second UFC on Versus event is slated to take place this evening from San Diego Sports Arena and all bouts will take place as scheduled.
The weigh-ins didn’t go off without a hitch however, as welterweight DaMarques Johnson failed to make his contracted weight against Matt Riddle, coming in at 172 lbs after the commission decided it wasn’t safe for him to continue cutting. He will be fined 20% of his purse and allowed to compete.
Headliners Jon Jones and Vladimir Matyushenko both came in at 206 lbs for their light heavyweight showdown.
